“Every person you will ever meet has infinite worth."

Mina Ishioka at Ishioka Counselling & Consulting.

I'm glad that you are here.
Thank you for your visit.

I am amazed by people's resiliency to live through each of their unique lives. I believe that each person has innate strengths that carried them through their life journey. In the past 17 years, I walked alongside of those who needed to find their strengths, and continued on their journey. My hope is to share individuals those therapeutic tools that are simple, readily available and accessible to use at any given time.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor in good standing with British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. I have a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My therapeutic approach is strength-based and holistic. I apply various therapeutic modalities to tailor my services including attachment theory, Internal family system theory, and EMDR.  I welcome people across the lifespan in regardless of their ethnicity, race, social status, spirituality and so forth.

My work primarily takes place on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples, including the unceded territories of the Qualicum First Nations and Snaw-Naw-As. I respectfully acknowledge their stewardship of these lands since time immemorial. I have committed to learn their history, and to build relationships with their beautiful lands and peoples.
